Research and development

We have a strong interest in equity investment in social enterprise, particularly in community investment and community shares. Jim Brown was the lead consultant to the Community Shares programme, a two year action-research partnership programme  between Co-operatives UK and Locality, and funded by the Cabinet Office and the Department for Communities and Local Government.

What we do

Training

Much of our work focuses on training, learning and development.  Baker Brown Associates is  an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) approved centre, and runs courses for social enterprise advisers and practitioners, leading to vocationally related qualifications at Level 5 in the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework.  (More details…)
